Skånefrö AB has produced seed and grain for over 70 years. Our long experience and our chosen contract cultivaters is a guarantee that we can give the Swedish market very high quality seed and grain. The best quality is reached only by keeping our own control from sowing to ready product. All cultivations are inspected by authorized staff.
Year 1996, Skånefrö AB among others, started the detached development company Scandinavian Seed. Through this company new foreign, very good species and varieties, both for the agriculture- and grass sector, arrived at the Swedish market.
To keep on the high standard of our products, an investment was made in 2004 for one of Europes most modern seed cleaning constructions. With this investment we get high quality certified seed that is far over the minimum requirements of the EU. The seed cleaning construction is managed by our staff of whom several have 30 years of experience within seed production.

Analysis of cleaned seed- and corn raw materials are made
In our modern laboratory. A test is sent to the official seed
test institute, where the final analysis is made. When the test
is finished we get an analysis certification with quality
parameters as germination, other seeds, weeds and purity.
The staff at our grass department makes sure that golf courses, sports facilities, the municipality etc. gets the best amenity grass for the turf areas.
Our agriculture department makes sure that our farmers and contract cultivators gets the best variety of grains, forage grass, oil plants and niche crops among others.
